The house is located in the outskirts of the quiet hamlet of Chalikeri within a 200 metres from Alaties beach which is a great spot for snorkelling and relaxing. Alaties beach bar/restaurant (sited just above the beach) is very popular, serving restaurant food and is the perfect place for sunset dining. Also very close by is Agia Jerusalem beach that has sun beds and umbrellas are for hire in peak season, late June, July & August and there is a taverna serving traditional Greek food.
The village of Magganos about 5 minutes drive and has a couple of tavernas and shops for your household needs. In Fiskardo you will find shops, restaurants, ATM’s, bakery’s, bars and all sorts of activities. The village is a picturesque place with Venetian architecture and a constant stream of yachts entering and leaving. During the high season some of the biggest and most famous motor and sailing yachts visit providing constant entertainment and even the possibility of some celeb spotting.
Beaches we like to visit
Within 200m
Alaties beach is small but perfectly formed where you can lap up the sunshine either on the beach itself or on the surrounding rocks. There’s good parking available and a beach bar serving food all day and into the evening where you can watch the sun set with a cocktail in hand.
Within 5 minutes drive
Agia Jerusalem beach is a pebble beach with crystal clear water making for great paddling, swimming and if you like to snorkel it's worth swimming out to the rocks where you will find much more marine life than in the bay itself. In high season sun-beds are available for hire on the beach and there is a taverna serving traditional Greek food.
Within 15 minutes drive
Emblissi beach just outside of Fiskardo is easily accessible, has great swimming, wonderful views across to Lefkas and Meganisi. There's good parking although it does get busy in July and August.
Foki beach is in a protected bay with a shady olive grove and a cave to swim to and explore as well as a taverna close-by.
Kimilia beach is a hidden gem accessible only by boat or by foot by following a winding forest path. We recommend you take food and as there are no facilities at the beach.
Dafnoudi beach with its crystal clear water is worth the 10-15 minute hike down from where you park. Of course you can also access the beach by boat. We recommend you take food and water as there are no facilities at the beach.
